Conservation experts from Conservation International shocked by the discovery of the six species of frogs endemic to Haiti. Frogs were found, including species that have disappeared for decades and thought extinct, and some of them have such beautiful singing voice.

Six frog species found is ventriloquial Hispaniolan frogs, toads Mozart, La Selle grass frog, spotted chest of Macaya frog, crowned frog Hispaniola, and Macaya Burrowing frogs.

One of the unique type is ventriloquial Hispaniolan frog. Species that can "throw" the sound to a distant place so they can outwit the predators that hunt for frogs that sound as if coming from somewhere else. While other types are also unique is the Macaya Burrowing frogs that like to dig burrows in the ground. This type has black eyes and orange hind legs.

While its name, which is not less interesting is the Mozart frog. Frog is named like the name of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart because it produces a similar sound of the music. At night it sounded like whistling four notes, while in the afternoon and evening as two-tone whistle.

The most surprising findings is the La Selle grass frog. These types are not met for 25 years. This type is one of 48 types of amphibians are most often found in Haiti so that it becomes a mystery. "We are looking for one species, but apparently found other treasures. This reflects the resilience and hope for the people of Haiti and the wildlife there," said Richard Moore, the leader of this CI expedition.

Missing frog species are found in Haiti in October last year. As is known, Haiti last year's devastating earthquake which damaged infrastructure and casualties in large numbers. Moore and Blair Hedge from Pennsylvania State University became the coordinator of this research. The discovery is part of the re search project that amphibian species are now rare.
